What is the Order Management System?
The Order Management System is a comprehensive restaurant management solution that helps restaurant staff manage tables, orders, menus, and staff permissions in an efficient manner.
What browsers are supported?
The system works best with modern web browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. For optimal performance, please ensure your browser is up to date.
How do I log in to the system?
You can sign up using a Google or Facebook account.
What can I do right after signing in?
- You can create a new restaurant, manage tables, orders, menus, and permissions.
- You can also involve another staff member to manage different parts of the system
- You can use the free-tier or you can subscribe to ordinary tier per restaurant.
How much does it cost to use the system?
- Free to use with a limited number of dishes, tables, ingredients and dishes.
- An ordinary tier subscription costs 14,90 € per month.
- Early subscribers will be allowed to renew their subscription at the same price for 6 months.
How do I add a new restaurant?
Just click on add restaurant on the main page.
How do I add a new table?
- Go to the Tables section
- Click "Add New Table"
- Eventually add other details (number/name, capacity, etc.)
- Click the "Save" icon.
Can I merge tables together?
Yes, you can merge tables by selecting the tables you want to merge and clicking the "Merge Tables" button. This is useful for accommodating larger parties.
You cannot merge tables that have a reservation.
How do I create a new order?
- Select an available table
- Choose the menu items to add to the order
- Add any special instructions
- Submit the order
Can I modify an existing order?
Yes, you can modify and delete any order and orderitems. If you need to cancel an order item after bein confirmed, then you can make it so in the process orders page.
How do I split a check?
In the payment section you can select any group of orders and then select the order items you want to pay as a single check
What should I do if I encounter an error?
Note down the error message, include what you were doing when the error occurred and report the issue.
How do I report a bug?
Please report any bugs or issues to this email address: issue@restaurantsystem.cloud
You must include the following information:
- What you were trying to do
- What happened
- Any error messages displayed
- Steps to reproduce the issue
You can use English or Italian. If you want to submit a bug report in another language, specify the language in the subject of the email.
Note: Any bug report that lacks this information will be automatically rejected.
Which languages are supported?
The system supports only English for uniformity. However you can use Italian to communicate for issues or assistance.
Is my data secure?
The system doesn't store any password as users are based on external accounts. All data are stored in a secure db. However at the moment they stay in clear text, to make easier solving eventual issues. The user can claim their data and wipe them according to GDPR.
How often should I change my password?
You don't have to change your password as the system don't store any password because it uses only external account.
In the future the system may support also local accounts and two factor authentication.
Can I use the system on my phone or tablet?
Yes, the system is mobile-responsive and can be used on smartphones and tablets for many of the features. For the best experience, we recommend using the latest version of your mobile browser.

can I connect to a cash drawer emitting fiscal receipts?
No, the system lacks of any possibility to establish physical and logical connection to a cash drawer for emitting fiscal receipts at the moment.
Will the fiscal receipt and cash drawer integration be available in the future?
At first the system will provide a simple interchange format to let a local program to send data to a fiscal device. There are many devices each with their own format. However the interchange format will be open (like json/xml) so anyone can implement a wrapper for their device.
What the underlying platform of the system?
Backend: .NET Core 8.0 with F# and Sharpino event-sourcing on PostgreSQL. Frontend: C# Blazor Interactive server-side components
What is the system hosted on?
